We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Payroll Administration Manager to join our People Team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL - HYBRID.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
• Manages and coordinates all payroll aspects for a large region, e.g., US, EMEA, APAC. Work is accomplished primarily through teams of professionals and more junior managers and focuses on the implementation and administration of payroll policies and procedures in compliance with the organizational and all regionally relevant laws, policies and regulations.
• Serves as a subject matter expert on regional payroll administration and compliance factors.
• Is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of and approving all master payroll calendars and processing schedules.
• Manages the production of all weekly, bi-weekly and special compensation, and oversees the issuance of special checks for the assigned region.
• Directs the team's reporting activities and directly addresses identified issues or inefficiencies or escalates to regional senior management.
• Initiates audits and assigns responsibility for preparation of materials for both internal and external auditors to country managers within the assigned region.
• Leads the development and implementation of regional policies and procedures that align with the organization and organizational objectives.
• Develops strategies to address changes in payroll laws and regulations and assigns tasks to country managers to ensure professional teams adapt to these changes.
• Develops strategies to improve delivery of service to country managers and enhance system performance.
• Addresses regional payroll issues escalated by more junior managers and professional staff.
• Leads the development of reports for presentation to regional management on identified issues, errors and inefficiencies.
• Reviews proposals from more junior team members on payroll design, potential new components to be evaluated and existing components to be assessed.
• Uses broad knowledge of the field and best practice solutions to approve or adjust proposals. Leads the regional team in implementing changes.
• Leads more junior managers and professional staff in producing and distributing employee tax statements and notifications that comply with regional and country laws.
• Directs professional staff's analyses of payroll and tax data and pay programs over time.
• Draws conclusions from these analyses and initiates special projects for process improvement and implementation of cutting edge solutions, among others.
• Recruits the assistance of more junior managers and professional staff in implementing changes.
• Serves as a regional communications liaison for payroll questions from senior management.
• Works closely with senior managers and is responsible for determining the regional communication and marketing strategies for communicating payroll changes to the assigned region.
• Strategies effectively build understanding and reduce anxiety around change.
• Recruits, directs, motivates and develops professional staff and more junior managers, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to effectively function as team and/or manage their team.
• Provides feedback at the most critical times.
• Manages more junior managers and professional staff within a region.
• Ensures more junior managers are equipped to manage their teams and accomplish the objectives of the function.
• Ensures appropriate financial and human resource allocation.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 7-10 years of total work experience preferred with 1-3 years of management experience preferred.
• CPP or equivalent designation is preferred.
• Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
